I've been learning how to make artwork from the wonderful ladies on the Gateworld art threads, especially the ones on the Sam Jack how to thread. I'm not as good as some of them, but I've come along way in the last year. So here is my stuff. Most is Stargate of course, after all I am learning on the Gateworld. A few are from other fandoms. Here they are, oldest to newest.

The following is a draft of my memoir/personal essay for my Creative Nonfiction class.
( If you think I'm crazy, you should meet the rest of my family. )
So I haven't reall had anything happy happen.
On Wednesday: Nothing. I actaully found the books I need for next semester five dollars cheaper on Amazon then I paid for soem of them at the local bookstore.
On Thursday: Mom and I went shopping for a little while. I found a Fossil watch with rhinestones 65% off that my mom inisted on buying for me for Christmas since I don't have a Christmas list. I didn't buy the giant throw pillow with Prince Caspian's picture on one side and Aslan's on the other at the Disney store, even though it was 6 bucks instead of $24. I did ask for Prince Caspian, and that would probably be the only way I get to snuggle up with him, but I decided I didn't need it. Plus dad would make fun of me like he did the year I got a Tinkerbell purse.
As for Friday, well, the day isn't over yet.
Ok, so I finally got the the Chiropracter today. And I was able to get three of the 30 books I need for next semester at the local bookstore. They had almost all of the Atwood books I needed, but I didn't have the money. That is actually a bad thing, lol.
The rules are that for 8 days you have to post something that made you happy that day.
Something happy for today, well the day isn't over. I got invited to a Christmas Party at a friends house who I haven't see since high school so I hope to go and see her and everyone else.
♥ If you wish for real life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa could get in touch with you.
♥ Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
♥ Surf around your flist to see who has posted their list. & now here's the important part:
♥ If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
♥ You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
My list:
1. To pass all my classes.
2. All my books for next semester at a decent price. And I mean all of them. All seven British Spy novels, every Atwood book I need, the Bidhisim books too.
3. John and Teyla finally unite as one
4. Prince Caspian, but since he ins't real, I'll settle for the DVD.
5. Be allowed to bring one of my new international friends home who can't go home over break.
6. Not to get sick.
7. An mp3 player.
8. To be able to do a summer study abroad course.
9. To visit family in Illinios for Christmas.
10. Snow. I know it will never happen, but I'd love to see the Minarets at shcool with a light dusting of snow.

This is the doem of the old Dinning room, now the Fletcher Lounge.
This is another view of the Dinning Room.
The beuatiful Baroque fountain out front of Plant Hall (Yes they re-named the darn building after him).
Two different shots of some of the Minarets in the back of the old hotel. I actually have a class on the third floor undernearth the closest one.
The front of Plant Hall with the Verandah.
The Sykes College of Business on Campus. I just thought it was cool too and the architecture is so opposite of the rest.
One of the Minarets from the front of Plant Hall. The are four stories and then you can go up even higher into them if you so wish, but you are only allowed to at certain times of the year.

Due to my good friend Jess, <lj user= snickerkitties>, is posting her story, I"ve decided to post mine. Keep in mind people this is still a work in progress and is intended to be my own scifi novel. If all goes how I plan, my roommate who plans to go into publishing, will publish it. Currently, it has no name.
( We can name it later! )
So the Today show was filming this morning on the East Verandah of Plant Hall. I didn't get up too early to go, seeing as how I was in class until 10 last night. They filmed a segment on Cuban Sandwiches like right in front of us, but I thought that since we were off to the side, we didn't make it in. I was wrong! My friend who was with me just IMed me this link and told me to click on the Flavors of Cuba video. Sure enough, about 40 seconds in, you can see us right at the edge of the frame. I have a white shirt and green shrug on and you can tell it's me becasue of the long blonde hair.

This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.
Then (if you want) post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.
First off, my room is huge. At least twice the size of my room last semester. I could do cartwheels across the empty space between my bed and my roommates. The best thing about it is we have our own bathroom. We no longer have to share with other girls who take over the whole place. The only bad thing is that we don't have a closet. We have these wardrobes insted that unfortunetaly don't go to Narnia.
Actually, there are two bad things. Last semester our beds came up to right below my chest and I had to climb on the two drawer dresser that was pushed under my bed in order to get into bed at night. This semester, the beds are up to my shoulder becasue there is a three drawer dresser under it. I need a step stool to get into bed. I'll have to fill out a form with maintenance to have it lowered.
Then there's the talking elevator. It's not like the one in that one episode of Greys Anatomy when Addison went to LA to see her friends and the elevator talked back to her, but it still talks. It announces what floor it is on and whether it is going up or down. Frankly, it's annoying. Someone said it was for blind people, but I only ever saw one blind student here. I guess I'll have to get used to it.
I had to go to Best Buy to see if they had a laptop cooler pad that would fit my 14.1 inch laptop since the one I bought at Target was only 11inches and too small. I already burned several places on the dinning room table and dI dont' want to burn the school's desk in my dorm room. So after lunch at the VFW hall, (they have great burgers surprisingly) my dad and I went to the mall. I start to look at the cooler pads, and he wonders away to look at laptops. I find him looking at a HP and talking to a sales guy. I try to get him to leave, no such luck. You see, he recently got himself elected to the spot of Vice President in the local Leathernecks Motor Cycle club and they do all their business over E-mail. We have an old desktop we got when I started junior high that still works, mostly. It goes online and goes to every website except AOL. We used to have AOL, bur switched to Verizon last year and we wanted to keep our E-mail adresses. I told him to change it to yahoo, his escuse was that his business cards were already printed (yes the MC has business cards for some reason). I then suggested the good ol' fashioned library. He said no. I said get a cheap desktop then, he says no. Basically, he just wants a laptop and there is no stopping him. Anyway, I look at the price of the laptop and almost choke. It is a month's worth of tuition. After convincing him to talk to mom, who broke down and said "do what you want" he applied for a Best Buy card and bought the frakin' thing. I have a friend who is a computer genuis so I was going to call him to help me set it up. Before I can get him on the phone, dad has the thing out of the box and turned on. I got it set up with the basics, but I couldn't get it to connect to our wireless network my friend set up. So instead of waiting for my friend (who had to go to school to buy his books), my dad puts me on the phone with HP and then Verizon for an hour and we get nowhere. I finally hung up and convinced him to wait.
So Saturday morning, as soon as I get up, he asks me to call my friend. I also had a wedding to go to that day for a friend from high school and I still didnt' know how I was getting there. I supposed to catch a ride with one of the other guests, but I had to call her about which one. I didn't get through of course. So dad keeps bugging me to call her to find out and then to call my computer friend. I can't reach either of them. Dad then wanted to drive me to the brides house at 10 am and the wedding was at 3. My mom finally convinced him to leave and go to his stupid motor cycle thing and she would take me when she got off work. So mom and I drive to Tampa and eventually find the wedding site at Lowery Park, using a very bad map, we sweriously need to get a better one since I am going to school there. Out of the corner of my eye I see a parade of red dresses following a white dress on a short girl. I screamed "Wedding" and pointed. If I hadn't seen them, we never would have found it. We join the party only to find that the site is flooded from the rain the nigh before. Then one of the groomsmen gets lost on his way; another forgets the signs to direct the guests to the site; and the lost groomsman arrives with out the flowers to decorate, but with the things they were supposed to stick in the ground and hang from. Bride gets very angry of course. Her dad finally suggest a site further away and picks her up so she doesn't walk in the mud. Accept, he doesn't have hold of the train and it is almost dragging. I had this vision of it getting dragged through the mud and screamed "NO" in my head, ran up to her, and grabbed the trail picking it up. It's a good thing I did, becasue we stepped in a mudy puddle and it would have ruined the dress. They finally get married about an hour and a half after it was supposed to start.
And that brings us to Sunday. Again, dad asked me at he moment I got up to call my computer friend. My mom had a migriane and we were having a lady from the Marine Corp league over whose husband died last week. Mom didn't want my friend coming over becasue she knew the things would run into one another. So dad gets huffy.
On Monday evening, I finally get my friend over and he fixes everything without a problem. I'm taking the new laptop and dad is taking my old one. On top of everything, I leave to move into my dorm on Saturday so I've been trying to pack inbetween the caos that is my life.
